Sika Sarnafil manufactures high quality, single ply roofing and waterproofing membranes. With over 50years’ experience, Sika Sarnafil’s roofing and waterproofing systems are recognized for their ability to withstand the test of time. Our solutions are successful and we service our customers by providing beneficial support in the form of comprehensive design review and technical advice during construction. We currently have a position available for the state of Connecticut. This position is responsible to provide technical sales support at the regional level to customers (contractors, architects, and building owners) in an effort to achieve pre-determined sales and profit objectives. The candidate needs to have excellent communication, organizational and writing skills, knowledge about the construction industry and needs to be willing to be comfortable in an office as well as on a jobsite. Specific roofing industry experience is a plus. The ideal candidate is located in either Massachusetts or Connecticut area and will need to be able to travel and cover the assigned territory.

The responsibilities include:

  • Position Sika Sarnafil as a company that provides quality products and service
  • Sales of all Sarnafil Roofing and Waterproofing systems to meet agreed upon budget and gross margin objectives
  • Identify and follow-up on new market opportunities
  • Specification activity through Roofing Consultants, Architects, Engineers and all other influencing parties
  • Roofing contractor account management to include bid returns, receivables, territory coverage
  • Establish key owner of territories
  • Provide weekly, monthly sales activity reports
  • Handling of project pricing
  • Box lunch seminar presentations
  • Sample, literature presentation
  • Specification writing

Use hands and fingers to handle office material including phone/computer, tools or objects, reach with hands and arms,

  • Sit, walk, stand, occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch
  • Ability to travel by car regularly (drive car), occasionally travel by airplane
  • Be able to go on roof walks, work in heights
  • Adequate vision (depth perception, peripheral vision, close up vision)
  • Ability to climb ladders (occasionally) and stairs
  • May be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at time of roof walks
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds (marketing material, samples)
